Annette Donnelly, Bristlecone House Director

I was born and raised in Michigan. A great ice breaker is to let people know that I am the youngest of 12 children. I feel very lucky to have grown up in a large family. It is definitely fun when we all get together.

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree. I have since had several wonderful career opportunities. I have owned my own dance studio in MI. I also owned a business (A.J. Juniors) in Tallahassee, Florida. With A.J. Juniors, I traveled into daycares and preschools and taught dance and gymnastics to the children. In the two years that I lived in Florida, my business grew and I obtained 26 schools and several wonderful instructors.

Before leaving Florida I was offered a job with Power Wellness in Reno, NV. Power Wellness is a management company, based out of the Chicago area, which runs medically based fitness centers around the United States. They were opening a center in Reno and I started out as the Member Services Manager and eventually moved my way up to the Executive Director of the facility. The center has since been taken over by another management company but I continue to work as a consultant for Power Wellness.

In November 2009, I was lucky enough to find out about Mountain Springs Senior Care in Carson City. I am currently the Bristlecone House Director. When taking the position and learning more about the company, I felt that it was another wonderful opportunity for my journey.

My husband, Sean, and our three beagles, Tasha, Laila, and Dexter, reside in Carson City. We enjoy hiking, remodeling our home, spending time with family, friends, and each other.
